Redshift Software, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information in connection with our applications and services, including our satellite pass prediction app (the "App").

Anonymous Identifier

The App generates a random anonymous identifier (GUID) on your device to associate your saved location with your device. No name, email, or personally identifiable information is collected or stored. This identifier is used solely to link your saved location data to your device so we can deliver predictions and notifications.

Location Information

The App collects your precise location (GPS coordinates) to calculate satellite pass predictions for your area. Here is how we handle your location data:

• When it is accessed: Location is only accessed while the App is open and in the foreground. We do not track your location in the background.
• Where it is stored: Your location is stored both locally on your device and on our servers. Server-side storage allows us to compute pass predictions and send you timely push notifications about upcoming visible passes.
• How it is linked: Your saved location is associated with your anonymous identifier (GUID) so we can deliver personalized predictions and notifications.

You can revoke location access at any time through your device's Settings. Without location access, the App will be unable to generate pass predictions.

Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications to alert you about upcoming satellite passes visible from your location. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings. We use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to deliver these notifications.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Calculate satellite pass predictions based on your location
• Send push notifications about upcoming visible passes
• Maintain and improve App functionality
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the App (via Firebase Analytics)
• Respond to support requests

Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services:

• Apple Push Notification service (APNs): We use APNs to deliver push notifications. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used, including which features are popular and how users navigate the App. Firebase Analytics may collect device information, usage data, and anonymized interaction data. We do not use Firebase Analytics to collect or associate personally identifiable information with your analytics data.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not display ads within the App.

Data Storage and Security

Your anonymous identifiers and saved locations are stored on our servers using industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit. While no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is linked only to an anonymous identifier and is retained as long as it is needed to provide the service. If you would like your data deleted, you can contact us at info@redshift.llc and we will permanently remove your data from our servers within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly address it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification.
